Laurens County EMS: food, fun, education, blood drive for EMS Week
Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery time of those who experience sudden illness or injury within Laurens County." - EMS Week resolution, adopted April 26, Laurens County Council


Laurens County Emergency Medical Services has several events scheduled in observance of EMS Week, May 15-21:

Saturday: Softball Challenge, 2 pm until at Laurens City Park, hot dog plate sale; Laurens County EMS vs Greenwood County EMS.

Sunday: Community prayers requested for agency’s service.

Monday (May 16): Community CPR class at Laurens County Library.

Tuesday: Employees appreciation lunch.

Wednesday: Community CPR class at Laurens County Library, employees appreciation lunch, EMS car wash at Ingles, Laurens, 9 am - 2 pm.

Thursday: Employees appreciation lunch.

Friday: Employees awards announcement.

Saturday (May 21): Community Awareness Day, 1 - 4 pm at Laurens Wal-mart, activities: EMS displays, health and safety information, Med-Trans medical helicopter and Laurens County fire truck display, Sheriff’s Office Kid Print, Safety Pup, SC Highway Patrol roll-over simulator, and Blood Connection - T-shirt, 500 TBC rewards points (12.50) for all donors, TBC donor card or photo ID required. 

Car wash and Community Day proceeds to Hospital of Laurens County’s children’s bereavement grief camp, Jamie’s Tree House.

This is the 40th year that Laurens County Emergency Medical Services has provided public service to the citizens and visitors of Laurens County.
