Scottish - Oktoberfest
OUR VIEW: TODAY, Scots & Brats.
Last fall, the City of Clinton staged a very successful Scots & Brats Festival - a local spin on Oktoberfest - and it comes around again this Saturday.
We encourage everyone to come on out - even our friends in Laurens; by our calendar, you do not have an activity in your city. Come See Us!
There will be plenty of entertainment, food and drink, and last year there were Scottish Games. Kids, please, very sincerely we ask you, DO NOT try these at home (unless you’re CrossFit). There were plenty of vendors for shopping last year, also.
Last year, the City of Clinton did not control the secondary location - the former Founders Credit Union building across the street from Vance Park. This year, the city does control this building and its parking - on Sept. 30, it became the new home of City Utility Billing and Payments. The space that billing vacated in the Municipal Center will become a City of Clinton Welcome Center.
All the PC students are back, some of our folks will be traveling for football, and there are marching band competitions. But for many more of us, it’s going to be a great fall afternoon (pack an umbrella).
Get out, and enjoy.
