CHS Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams will host Mid Carolina starting with the girls game at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game at 7:30, this Friday.

It is "CHS Alumni Night", so wear "throwback gear" from back in the day and join the Red Devils for a night of reminiscing and fun. Come and tell all about the time you scored 100 points in one game all while playing barefoot in a gym with no lights or indoor plumbing.

“I'm joking!!” CHS Athletics Director Nickie Templeton said. “We would love to have former players, cheerleaders, trainers and coaches from all decades join us. All participants will be asked to join us on the floor at halftime of the boys' game and any participants that wish to will be invited to play a game of knockout during the boys' halftime, as well. Remember to wear an old warm up, T-shirt, sweatshirt, jersey, or just wear your red and white!! There will be a hospitality room with snacks, food, and drinks for all former coaches and players that are in attendance on Friday. It will be in the team room right outside the gym.”

Friday morning, we will be Rising and Grinding as the CHS Athletic Program and School will be spotlighted by News Channel 7 on Friday morning starting at 5 a.m.

Templeton said, “Yes, that makes for an early and long work day, but it is so much fun to showcase all the wonderful things our coaches, players, students, and faculty members are doing!!! All former players and coaches from years passed, come one and join us if you can wake up early and get here ... we would love to have an Alumni Section to show on the news!! FYI: The JV Girls and Boys Basketball Team continued their amazing season with home games Monday night. See you Friday!”
